Care before speed
A cottage down a single-track lane is not a race. We’d rather take the extra minute — and the smaller van for the last stretch — than mark a wall or a hedge.
Our story
Cornwall Removals grew from a simple observation: the moves that go wrong here go wrong for local reasons. A big lorry sent down a lane with nowhere to turn. A crew that’s never met a cliff-top cottage. A quote read off a screen that swells the minute the van arrives. We built a firm to move Cornish households the way the county actually is — long, lane-laced, two-coasted, and worth doing right.
We cover the whole of Cornwall, coast to coast — Truro, Newquay, Falmouth, Penzance, St Ives, St Austell, Bodmin, Camborne and Redruth, Bude and the villages between. Between us we’ve carried more Cornish households than we could count, from a studio full of pots above St Ives to a full house bound for the Algarve.
The same firm runs a European arm, because a fair few of the households we pack aren’t staying in Cornwall — they’re bound for France, Spain, Portugal or Cyprus, trading one coast for a warmer one, and they want the people who packed the box to be the people who deliver it.
Carefully enough to leave your lanes, hedges and walls the way we found them. Locally enough to know which cove needs a shuttle and which lane takes a lorry. Plainly enough that you always know what’s happening and what it costs. We answer our own phone and quote our own jobs — the person you speak to first sees your move through.
We won’t dress the firm up with things that aren’t true. There are no invented review counts on this site, no award badges we didn’t earn, no press logos we can’t stand behind. When real reviews and credentials come in, they’ll go here — and not before.
What we hold to
A cottage down a single-track lane is not a race. We’d rather take the extra minute — and the smaller van for the last stretch — than mark a wall or a hedge.
We don’t reel a number off the top of our heads. You get it in writing, based on the actual job, so the price on the day is the price we agreed.
We’d rather be the firm that knows every lane and cove than a national badge that doesn’t. The county is our advantage, and yours.
We won’t invent star ratings, award badges or a fleet of vans we don’t run. What we say we do, we do.
